Feel The Wind Blow...

The inspiration for this poem is sheer romance :)! Love is a subject one can write pages and pages on right. I also wrote this while I watched the moon one night and with memories of a beautiful night spent on the beach...

You feel the wind blow
You watch the water flow
In the moonlight,
You take a step slow

You watch her back
As she stands,
Facing the stream
You can’t see her face
But you feel her hands
Warm….soft…
You know this is real
No longer a dream

You feel the wind blow
You watch the water flow
In the moonlight
You feel your love grow

 In her eyes you see
The love she feels for you
In her smile you see
The happiness she gets from you

In the silent dark night,
In your heart
A promise you make,
To hold her close
Never for a moment
To be apart

In your arms,
She feels the wind blow
Watches the water flow
In the moonlight
You see her face glow

If I Die

I wrote this straight from the heart and I mean every word expressed here. One thing though... I do believe thinking/speaking of death is bad omen...and this was the one time I made an exception to pen down these lines! It is but obviously for the special someone in my life...

If I die,

Would you cry?
Why?

Because you love me?
Because life won’t be,
The same without me?

But ask me what I really want
If I were to die baby
I’d want you to,
Grieve for me just once
Then look at life ahead.
You may think you can’t
But life always moves on
After a long dark night
There’s always a beautiful dawn

When you think of me
I want you to smile
Memories
Pleasant, sad, crazy, happy
Flooding your mind
And just for a while…

Think of love…
Of our times together
Don’t regret that we,
Lost forever…

Think of the chance we got
At sharing a love
That truly was,
A blessing from above

So baby if I die…
Don’t you cry…ever
Know that… I will love you…
Just the same…forever

*sigh* time flies...and here I am completing one year in this blog. Yes tomorrow 16th March is the first anniversary of my fav blog (out of the 4 that I have). What a year it's been...full of mixed emotions. Some happiness, some pain...some letting go...some acceptance. Through it all I've cherished this blog the most coz this is where I've let my heart speak...in simple words that sometimes rhyme...that sometimes sing my hearts tune...that sometimes just cry my silent tears...

I don't get here as often as I do at my other blogs...I don't write poems that often. And some times revisiting some memories is difficult but yes, there are some memories here which make me smile...too...I love this space of mine...it is the closest to my heart...and will always be so! And the only way to celebrate that is by posting the following lines... :-) (This is my 20th poem here...)

Who says life’s got to be fair
Who says people are gonna care
I don’t want to complain
But life can sometimes be such a pain!

Sometimes life’s so beautiful
And sometimes life’s simply sad
You can’t live following any fixed rule
You gotta know don’t you?
You can never be prepared enough for the bad!

But I wake up each day
With yesterday’s despair left behind
I smile and I pray...to help me face each day
Its dreams, hopes and desires
With an open and strong mind!

Valentine Post

“Penned on the day of love “Valentines Day” for the one’s who don’t get back love in return. I know today everyone’s writing about and celebrating the love they have (so am I).

But this is for the ones hurting more than ever on this day...alone...with so much love to give but getting nothing in return! This is my attempt to see love the way they do...through their eyes…heart and words…

Sharing long conversations

Life's A Roller Coaster

One of my favorite expression is "Life is a roller coaster" :) and isn't it? One moment u have so many reasons to smile and the next could see you facing tears and difficult times. Life's meant to be that way and what is special is our ability to cope with it all...our will to face it all and move ahead ready to take on the next big challenge or celebrate the next big win :)...

Life is like a roller coaster
Sometimes it’s looking up and sometimes down
One minute you’re smiling
In the next, you can’t shake of your frown

That’s the thrill in living your life
Living through the obvious...the unpredictability
The happy times and the times of strife
The desire to grab it all or simply let it be...

You’ve got to live your life
Don’t take for granted the obvious
Don’t run away from the unpredictability
Smile through the happy times
Face the challenge in times of strife
Not a moment to think...
Grab it all
Don’t just let it be!

Life can be the best ever
Giving you more than your share
